For better or for worse, the 1981 classic movie Clash of the Titans has been remade and is scheduled for a March release. A SlashFilm.com reader decided to update the original trailer, as well. Lukáš Franta used music from this year’s version as he edited the original Clash promo. The end result flows pretty well.
For comparison, one of the 1981 Clash of the Titans trailers is below.
For the record, I’m a purist. I usually dislike when films are remade in an effort to add CGI and play to our increasingly ADD-riddled audiences. The original 1981 Clash of the Titans was a classic in storyline and stop-motion technology (the acting wasn’t great, but nostalgia forgives that) and featured a half-naked Harry Hamlin riding Pegasus. Despite having stars like Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Alexa Davalos, I’m not crazy about the upcoming Clash of the Titans remake. Many of you guys are, though, so in the name of being servicey, here’s the trailer for that.
