Alessandra Torresani is the new IT girl for SyFy’s series Caprica and recently got a chance to do a stunning photo shoot for Maxim. For those of you who aren’t sure what Caprica is, I’ll give you the brief plot: Via Imdb:

Two families, the Graystones and the Adamas, live together on a peaceful planet known as Caprica, where a startling breakthrough in artificial intelligence brings about unforeseen consequences. A spin-off of the Sci Fi Channel series “Battlestar Galactica” set 50 years prior to the events of that show.

Alessandra playing a young Cylon and is said to be a Nerdfriendly during her 1st Comic-Con signing. the 23 year old foulmouthed  “Italian” girl just did a hotass Maxim shot and I’ve also attached their interview with her.

Now here is my opinion. If you watch her live interview with Maxim, be prepared to despise. That may be harsh but she doesn’t come off…Well? I guess? She seems to adore the fans, but the hardcore creepy ones freak her out, I.E. One man found out she is a black belt and claimed that Buffy was brown belt and that they should brawl (Geek Heaven, I know) but then he turned sexual on her. She also is not a very eloquent girl and comes off as by no means ditsy, but oblivious as to what it means to now be a part of a Universe with a rabid fan base (Star Wars, Star Trek, Battle Star). I don’t think she knows anything REALLY Sci-fi oriented (she thought the Sci-fi channel played old sci-fi movies), so she has some learning to do.

While doing small gigs as a kid she had spots on ER , Arrested Development, JAG, Sarah Connor Chronicles, CSI, and now Caprica- She’s nailed down the lead. Also in the interview there was a funny bit where the interviewer wanted her opinion on female robots over the years, and has the DUMBEST answers to each one (I don’t think she knew ONE!!)

Enjoy the sexy pics and watch the interview. Am I coming off too critically? or does SHE come off kinda….Less than desirably?

Caprica is on the Sy-Fy Network on Friday Nights at 9pm (also times all around it)
