At the 2010 New York Toy Fair, Hasbro unveiled their-rumored all new AT-AT vehicle for their 3.75-inch action figure line, available for somewhere in the $100 range on August 1. All I can say is that when the first, original AT-AT came out in the 80’s they must’ve only made 4, because I don’t know anybody who had one as a kid..Hopefully this time around they’ll make enough for all the children of the world!
All I can say is, me likey. StarWars.com had the inside scoop and gritty details:
Measuring more than 24 inches tall, nearly 28 inches long, and 12 inches wide, this colossal vehicle holds up to 20 Star Wars figures — 6 of which can fit in its head alone! — and includes so many play and electronic features true to its on-screen counterpart that it’s hard to believe! From the zip-line in its body and articulated legs for superb poseability, to its LED lights and authentic movie sounds and phrases.
I can’t believe that after around 30 years they are still releasing and re-releasing and re-re-releasing these toys! I mean, I’m excited, but this is craziness! Is George Lucas going to release all the films again in 3D? Cuz then they combine them for some cross promotional sales. But do they need more money? Yes. George Lucas’s house of Gold is being tarnished and he needs to have it polished.
