Looks like we really going to see Spidey back in his High School days and that may not be a bad thing, as long as we don’t see puberty included. There has been talks on the new Spider-Man reboot taking place during Peter’s High School days and now with reports that Brian Bendis, writer of the Ultimate Spider-Man as well as the Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man, is a consultant for the film, I say its a good chance that it will. The Ultimate series was an updated reboot of the Marvel Universe giving characters new origins and such, with Peter in the Ultimate franchise takes place during his High School days. Bendis says he is just a consultant and believes that he won’t have much of an involvement, Marc Webb, director of (500) Days of Summer, could change that since he has said in the past that he is a fan of Ultimate Spider-Man.
I used to read Ultimate Spider-Man and read up to the Ultimate Knights arc (have no idea why I stopped reading, it could be that I’m just dumb) and liked what I read and wouldn’t mind the reboot being based on the Ultimate timeline. What do you guys think? Do you think this is a good move and will help the movie or you think it doesn’t matter and the reboot would suck?
