Steampunk Iron Man Mask: SSSSSSSMOKIN’!

Iron Man

Let’s just imagine for a minute that you wanted to be a superhero or villain. Where would you start? How about auditioning to be on Stan Lee’s Who Wants To Be A Superhero? And that would entail coming up with a name, powers, and a costume. So you pick out a pretty cool name, come up with some outrageous power that no hero has had before, and then start to look through the pile of clothes in your bedroom closet hoping something from the 1980’s  will be sufficient enough. Or, you could be extremely efficient and have a costume designed for you (which of course always happens on HWTBAS and those heroes always come out looking 100% better than they did before), and be presented with, let’s say, a mask, just like the one pictured above (I would totally jump up and down for joy and clap my hands together).

So, I present to you, a Steampunk (sub-genre of science fiction and speculative fiction, frequently featuring elements of fantasy) Iron Man Mask, made by broken toys, as part of a Halloween costume. I have no idea how it was made or what it was made out of, but I still think it was pretty cool and totally wouldn’t mind having this thing displayed next next to my Star Wars Millennium Ship.  So, if you are interested in making a mask of your own, I have included a “How To” video and some other fascinating pictures of other steampunky things. But I am curious…If you could be a superhero, what would your name be? What would your crazy power be? And most importantly, what the hell would you wear?
