As you know, San Diego Comic Con is right around the corner, July 21st-25th. As another year of nerdy goodness comes are way so does a slew of new and exciting exclusive toys. It’s always been a staple for attendees to walk a way with a plastic treasure to commemorate the once a year event but as each year passes the toys seem to get cooler and cooler. As a result, a bit of jealousy takes over fans that are not able to attend. Toys nerds want, that they will probably never have, make nerds angry and as anyone knows you don’t want to make a nerd angry (really, just a bunch of screaming, sweating, panting and crying). Anyway, Comic-Con 2010 is set to be one of the best years yet for exclusive toys. Kicking off the exclusive toy news train comes an exclusive video from G4, who went to Mattel to see all it’s SDCC exclusive toys and boy….there going to be some real furious nerds.
MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE:
The Royal Court Jester, Orko is finally making his way to the MOTU Classics toyline. Only he isn’t packaged alone…The Prince of Eternia, Prince Adam is coming with him as Orko’s bonus accessory!
Classic Orko looks to be translucent and comes with a clear plastic stand (so he can hover) as well as his 200X wand! Orko turns clear except for his eyes when immersed in hot water to simulate disappearing! Classic Prince Adam is a He-Man repaint with a plastic maroon vest and matching maroon power sword!
Skeletor and Mo-Larr (Exclusive Two-Pack) Inspired by the one Robot Chicken sketch. WTF? Kinda cool but really?
Mattel will be offering Mego-style 8-inch Ghostbusters figure with cloth outfits, not based on the movie, but based on the cartoons.
DCUC – Plastic Man with multiple limbs and attachments (the SDCC exclusive version features Plas as a suitcase that you can attach his arms and head to.)
DC INFINITE HEROES:
Justice League vs. Starro boxed set. Not only does it include a huge Starro figure and 3 3/4-inch figures of the Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Aquaman, but the packaging is just like the cover of Brave and the Bold #28.
