Today is May the 4th. Which could only mean one thing. It’s Star Wars Day!!! (May the 4th be with you… get it?). To commemorate this auspicious day there is news of a glorious device. No, lightsabre technology has not become possible. We have though, something that will bring just as much joy into your hearts. TomTom has introduced some new additions to it’s lineup of celebrity GPS voices.

Starting today, motorists in the United Kingdom can purchase the voice of Darth Vader to their GPS systems. Yes, the very voice of the dark lord of the Sith will guide you to your destination. How F’N cool is that?

“Turn around when possible. I find your lack of faith disturbing. Then take your 3rd left, sense your way” Are among the samples on the TomTom’s website.

Star Wars fans can expect further releases of C-3PO in June, Yoda in July, and Han Solo in August. According to the press release, U.S. fans can apparently download Vader for $12.95, but TomTom’s site doesn’t show the option for paying with American currency. To quote Vader “NOOOOOOOOO!!!”. Looks like someone is just gonna have to force choke TomTom into making this readily available to us U.S. fans.

Personally I’m looking forward to the C-3PO one. I can just hear it now.

“The chances of successfully navigating the Southeast Expressway are 4,612 to one!” Haha, I can’t wait!

thanks to Crystal H. for sending us the tip.
