Worried about the relative silence on the proposed Ant-Man movie? Relax, the flick about pint-sized Pym still is on director Edgar Wright’s radar.
Wright recently told Box Office Magazine that he’ll, indeed, complete Marvel’s requested second draft of the Ant-Man script once Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, which he also directed, is in theatres. Scott Pilgrim is slated for an August release.
Wright also said that he’s planning to write Ant-Man with lots of comedy like that found in Iron Man.
Moreover, it sounds like Wright wants to rewrite some Ant-Man history for the movie.
“His suit and its power is the big gadget and it takes place in the real world. I just wanted to do something that was slightly different than the superhero origin film.” — Edgar Wright, to Box Office Magazine
What do you think? Do you care about Dr. Pym, or do you think this bug of a movie should be squashed?
