Another Tuesday is here for the month of July and like always, NerdBastards’ DVD Tuesday is here to help ya. We list out what was release this week and recommend if it’s a BUY, RENT, or PASS. We have the Old is New Again section as well as packed TV Show DVD section. After last weeks “epic” LOL Release, it’s taking a break for a week just so we have the Anime Pick of the Week returning this week (and returning for good because I obviously love giving myself more work). Check after the jump to see what came out.

Chloe is a suspenseful story of love and betrayal. When Catherine, a successful doctor, begins to question her husband David’s fidelity, she sets out to resolve her suspicions with the help of an alluring young woman, Chloe. Soon caught in a web of sexual desire, Catherine finds herself on a journey that places her family in great danger.

Starring: Julianne Moore, Amanda Seyfried, Liam Neeson, and Max Thieriot.
Directed by Atom Egoyan (Where the Truth Lies, Exotica)

While it may be a remake of a foreign film and also the story isn’t something new, it has found international success and may be worth checking out. It’s been said to be more exotic than the original and Amanda Seyfried is a pretty sight to look at. For it being an hour and a half long, may not be a bad date movie for you nerd couples.

Available: Blu-Ray, DVD

Roger Greenberg, single, fortyish and at a crossroads in his life, finds himself in Los Angeles, house-sitting for six weeks for his more successful/married-with-children brother. In search of a place to restart his life, Greenberg tries to reconnect with old friends including his former bandmate Ivan. But old friends aren’t necessarily still best friends, and Greenberg soon finds himself spending more and more time with his brother’s personal assistant Florence, an aspiring singer and also something of a lost soul. Despite his best attempts not to be drawn in, Greenberg and Florence manage to forge a connection, and Greenberg realizes he may at last have found a reason to be happy.

Starring: Ben Stiller, Greta Gerwig, Rhys Ifans, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Chris Messina, Brie Larson, and Juno Temple.
Directed by Noah Baumbach (Margot at the Wedding, The Squid and the Whale)

Could it be? Ben Stiller in a decent comedy that shows his acting skill? Although I’m not one of those guys who are tired of Stiller, I know there are quite the folks out there that is tired of him. The film has been getting pretty good reviews and if ya have been looking for a comedy that is well written, than this film is for ya. Who knows, maybe this may change your mind about the actor…or not.

Available: Blu-Ray, DVD

The Bounty Hunter

Milo Boyd, a down-on-his-luck bounty hunter, gets his dream job when he is assigned to track down his bail-jumping ex-wife, reporter Nicole Hurly. He thinks all that’s ahead is an easy payday, but when Nicole gives him the slip so she can chase a lead on a murder cover-up, Milo realizes that nothing ever goes simply with him and Nicole. The exes continually one-up each other – until they find themselves on the run for their lives. They thought their promise to love, honor and obey was tough – staying alive is going to be a whole lot tougher.

Starring: Jennifer Aniston, Gerard Butler, Jason Sudeikis, Dorian Missick, Joel Marsh Garland, and Christine Baranski.
Directed by Andy Tennant (Fool’s Gold, Hitch)

Oh Gerald Butler, why do you do this to yourself. The movie is a big meh as shown on Rotten Tomatoes by having an 8% on it’s Tomatometer. The film is too cliche and apperently doesn’t make sense. Safe to say, just stay away from this film.

Available: Blu-Ray, DVD

MST3K fans, you get another release with 4 movies once again and word is that it’s a good set of films included in the set. USA has been hitting the jackpot with their TV shows as both Psych and White Collar are entertaining shows. Both shows are set to start their new season this week, so catch up with these DVD sets to be ready for the new season. As for the Superhero Squad Show, if your a parent of children age 5-9,  then the show is for them, other than that, the show is too childish for us older folks to enjoy…unless you like fart jokes with your superheroes. The last show listed is a short lived series that has quite the fan base and finally it’s coming out on DVD. The set includes a 41 minute documentary of the show.

Anime Release of the Week:
