Date Night

Steve Carell and Tina Fey team up for an adventure that turns a run-of-the-mill married couple’s date upside down – way upside down, in Date Night.

Starring: Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Leighton Meester, Common, Taraji Henson, Taraji Henson, Kristen Wiig, Ray Liotta, Mila Kunis, Mark Ruffalo, Olivia Munn, and William Fichtner.
Directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum 1&2, The Pink Panther)

Do you like Steve Carell? Do you like Tina Fey? Then guess what, you may enjoy this film. The film has it’s moments and if you and your significant other is looking for some time to kill, then this film wouldn’t be a waste of your time since it’s not that long (both the theatrical and extended version). At least for us guys, we got Tina Fey and Mila Kunis to look at and the ladies got Mark Wahlberg and James Franco to look at as well.

Available: Blu-Ray/Digital Copy Combo, DVD

Death at a Funeral

Directed by Neil LaBute, Death at a Funeral is a hilarious day in the life of an American family come together to put a beloved husband and father to rest. As mourners gather at the family home, shocking revelations, festering resentments, ugly threats, blackmail and a misdirected corpse unleash lethal and riotous mayhem.

Starring: Loretta Devine, Peter Dinklage, Ron Glass, Danny Glover, Regina Hall, Martin Lawrence, James Marsden, Tracy Morgan, Chris Rock, Zoe Saldana, Columbus Short, and Luke Wilson.
Directed by Neil LaBute (Lakeview Terrace, The Wicker Man (2006))

Do you American remakes of British film? Do you like the comedies that Chris Rock is in that makes white people find him funny? Then guess what, you might enjoy this film. To be honest, I had no idea this was a remake and it’s not too bad and hey, Ebert thinks this is best comedy since The Hangover. If anything, I’m sure Tracy Morgan will probably provide most of the laughs throughout the film and it’s always good to support that man.

Available: Blu-Ray, DVD

The Joneses

The Joneses are rich, beautiful and seem to be the perfect family. There’s only one slight problem. They’re not actually a family, but a team of stealth marketers which moves into upscale communities in order to hook the neighbors on all its wonderful toys. Try to keep up.

Starring: David Duchovny, Demi Moore, Amber Heard, Gary Cole, Chris Williams, Lauren Hutton, and Glenne Headly.
Directed by Derrick Borte (Debut)

Did you like the story twist of The Truman Show? Do you have a man-crush on David Duchovny? (Well, who haven’t at one point) Then you might enjoy the film. The film is a directorial debut for Derrick Borte and it seems to be a hit or miss for most “professional” critics. It seems that Duchovny plays just like his Californication character, but just a cleaned up version of it. If you got about 90 minutes to kill, then this film will help kill it.

Available: Blu-Ray, DVD

RAW “The Beginnings:” Best of Season 1 and 2

It’s the longest running weekly entertainment program on cable, with more than 17 years of shocking moments, outstanding matches, and more. However, other than the occasional match on other DVD sets, the WWE Universe has never been able to relive the early excitement of Monday Night Raw on DVD. Now, for the first time ever, the best matches and moments of Seasons 1 and 2 of Raw are collected in a DVD set.

Available: 4 Disk DVD Set

So who remembers Max Headroom? I sure as hell do for some reason and it’s about time that it came out on DVD. The collection is packed with extras that should easily satisfy the purchase for any fan. Both the Bugs and Daffy set is part of WB’s Looney Tunes Super Star series, which is a cheaper ways for WB to release these episode that hasn’t been on DVD before. Purchasing these will probably help future releases of other characters. Titan Maximum is brought to you by the guys behind Robot Chicken and is a great parody on the whole Voltron genre of shows. The RAW set is for wrestling fans of the early-mid 90’s. If you’ve been following RAW from the beginning, then this 4 disk set will surely bring back some good memories.
