It seems that HBO decided to air a teaser trailer for it’s upcoming 2011 show, Game of Thrones. Based on George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novel series, HBO is bringing this medieval fantasy to life. Not only did we get a teaser, but we also got production video (which is available to view after he jump) that features writers and executive producers David Benioff (X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Brothers) and D.B. Weiss. We also get George Martin in the video giving his approval of the series and pretty much saying that fans of the novels will enjoy the TV show. Also, Sean Bean, who is casted as Eddard “Ned” Stark, talking about the project as well.
While the teaser is a bit too short for my liking, the TV show looks like it will be awesome like some of the shows on HBO. What do you guys think? Does the trailer raise your interest up for the show or does it do nothing for you? Also, any of you scared that Game of Thrones may meet the same fate as past HBO shows, such as Deadwood and Rome? Tell us what you think by leaving a comment after the jump.
