With Halloween only a little over a month away everyone is chomping at the bit for “The Walking Dead” on AMC. Daniel Kanemoto didn’t want to wait any longer and gave eagerly waiting fans something to tide their bloodlust over, at least for a little while. Using artwork ripped straight off the pages of Robert Kirkman‘s comic book series, illustrated by Charlie Adlard and Tony Moore, he created his own opener for the series. Where most television shows don’t have a theme anymore (remember Lost?) Kanemoto created something gives anyone, fan or new-comer, the sense of what The Walking Dead is about.
With music covered by Eels this is an instant sensation and we don’t have to sprinkle any blood on it to be perfect. If AMC has any sense of how fast news spreads on this thing we call the Internet they’ll make this their title sequence in some incarnation. Take a look for yourself at some of the best 50 seconds you’ll see all day.
