The Hellraiser franchise is moving right along with it’s ninth installment (yup, there are eight of them already out). Hellraiser: Revelations has just wrapped in Los Angeles; directed Victor Garcia (Return to House on Haunted Hill, Mirrors 2) based on a screenplay by long-time Hellraiser FX artist Gary J. Tunicliffe.
Now, after a horror film goes by, lets say it’s 5th film installment it’s appeal tends to die off. It still has it’s core audience, but, the films become stale and fail to capture the same allure as it’s first or even second (Saw franchise for example) As such, we jumped off the Hellraiser wagon about 4 films ago. We really wouldn’t post news or info regarding yet another installment, but, the thing that intrigues us this time around is that actor Doug Bradley will not be returning as the cenobite leader “Pinhead”. The iconic character will be in it, just played by a different actor. Stephan Smith Collins or is it Jay Gillespie (IMDb has him as Niko and Pseudo-Pinhead) will be the new incarnation of Hell. While, we are on sure on who actually is playing him, we have our first look at the new Pinhead, make-up and all.

Hellraiser: Revelations follows two friends who unleash Pinhead, who becomes their master of pain. Apparently, one of the friends has a change of heart. He backs out on his oath hoping to swap himself out with one of hi friend’s family members.
