Sega recently announced a new video game they are developing with Marvel called Captain America: Super Soldier. Today they’ve released a trailer for the game that you can watch below!
Captain America: Super Soldier will be set in the film’s universe and gamers will be getting their third-person action game on by bashing foes with the shield and solve puzzle with it. The combat is said to be acrobatic and have a free-flow feel to it.
The game is being developed by Next Level Game, in which they have developed the Mario Strikers games, the recent Punch Out!! for the Wii, and the decent Spider-Man: Friend or Foe game. Also, Christos Gage is writing the story for the game. Gage is known for his work on Avengers: The Initiatives, Civil War: House of M, and the current Avengers Academy. The game is set for a July, 2011 release (sometime around the release of the film) and will be playable on the 360, PS3, PSP, Wii, and the Nintendo DS.
What do you guys think? While the Iron Man games that SEGA published were pretty much crap, it does look like they are putting a bit more effort with this game by having Gage write the story.
