Get The Eyeliner. Mark Wahlberg Offered Lead in “The Crow”

This is news that’s gonna make a hell of a lot of Brandon Lee fan’s sharpen up their blades with anger. Mark Wahlberg, yes Marky Mark himself, was offered the lead role in a new Crow film, slated for a 2011 release.

Thanks to Bloody Disgusting it was reported that the former underwear model was in talks to become the next makeup man with a revenge plan. Sadly this won’t be like the previous goth-like incarnations from days of old, it’s gonna new vision all together. How will this be an entirely film? Well back in November i09 spoke with Crow’s producer Ryan Kavanaugh and he gave them a glimpse of what audiences may be seeing.

“He’ll have makeup, but it will be different. The best way to compare it is the first Batman and Batman Begins. In terms of their look and feel and character.”

So it’s gonna be like Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan got drunk, watched their Batman films together and said “Know what would be great?” At least their keeping the makeup, noone wants to see Max Payne all over again (I know I don’t) Wahlberg has great acting chops and hopefully they’ll come out. It’s gonna be a new film and a new main character coming back from the dead. If this film see the light of day next year, let’s hope that this has a little less gunfire in it (Yeah,I went there).
