Veteran Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy is recovering from a reported ‘minor benign abdominal surgery’. Due to the circumstances of Mr.Nimoy’s recovery, the Boston born, 79-year-old actor is unable to host an event entitled “An Evening With Leonard Nimoy” originally set for this Saturday in Long Beach, California.
“Leonard Nimoy will not appear tomorrow evening,” a statement from Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach, California said. His wife “Susan Bay Nimoy extends her thanks to everyone for their get-well wishes”. A frequent guest star on FOX hit science fiction drama “Fringe,” Nimoy had to reportedly cancel an appearance at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Both the missed events are expected to be rescheduled for a later date.
Details on what was involved in the surgery, from it’s location and when it happened have been kept under wraps.
We here at Nerdbastards wish Leonard a safe and speedy recovery during his current situation. Feel better Spock.
