What’s up bastards! Here we are with the last Tuesday for the month of October and as always, NerdBastards is here to provide you the DVD Tuesday feature. We list what came out and either recommend if it’s either a BUY, RENT, or PASS. We got a certain collection of films that I’m sure most of you are fans of and foreign film that is set to have a Hollywood remake.

As always, we got the Old is New Again section that features a Blu-ray collection that is worth getting. Also, check out the TV Show DVD and the Anime Pick as there are some good releases. So what are you waiting for? Check what came out after the jump and see if there is something you want!


Back To The Future: 25th Anniversary Trilogy


Back to the Future tells the story of Marty McFly, a teenager who is accidentally sent back in time from 1985 to 1955. He meets his parents in high school, accidentally attracting his mother’s romantic interest. Marty must repair the damage to history by causing his parents to fall in love, while finding a way to return to 1985. Back to the Future Part II: Continuing where Back to the Future left off, Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown use theDeLorean time machine to travel to 2015. While there, Biff Tannen steals the Delorean to travel back to give his teenage self a sports almanac, creating an alternative 1985. McFly and Doc travel to 1955 to burn the almanac and repair the timeline. Back to the Future Part III: Continuing where Back to the Future Part II left off, Marty McFly has discovered that his friend Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown became trapped in the year 1885. By getting help from the Doc of 1955, Marty unearths the DeLorean time machine and uses it to travel to 1885 and bring Doc back to present-day 1985.

Usually I would list this under the Old is New section but this deserve the BUY label as this is truly a buy for any fans of the franchise. Other than the fact that you get the whole trilogy, the extras that are included in this set is STACKED! You literally get hours and hours and hours of extra content. You get numbers of backstage and making of, you get the usual outtakes and deleted scenes, and music videos. Also, the set includes the 6 part retrospective documentary, “Tales from the Future,” which includes new interviews with the cast, director, and more.

The Girl Who Played With FireTGWPWF

Just like most  movie sequel, most critics and folks say that this wasn’t as awesome as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Though, if you were a fan of the first one, then this is an easy rent for you if you want more of the sexy Lisbeth. Also, it’s your chance to check out the original before Hollywood does their remake of this popular Swedish trilogy.

Old is New Again: This is a list of old films being re-released as Blu-Ray that were worth mentioning. This weeks pick is the Alien Anthology, which is an upgraded version of the Alien Quadrilogy DVD set that was released years ago but features even more extras.

The “Clone Wars” goes back to the original Star Wars film when Obi-Wan Kenobi tells Luke Skywalker that he was once a Jedi knight the same as your father and that they fought together in the Clone Wars. Since that moment fans have been obsessed with what the clone wars were. This new TV series takes place immediately after the events of Star Wars-Episode II: Attack of the Clones. The series follows Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice Anakin Skywalker and introduces us to some new characters such as Ahsoka Tano, a girl Jedi knight as well as characters we already know.
