It seems the rumored Playstation Phone has finally shown its face and Engadget got the pics and info to prove that it exists and yes, it does look similar to the PSPgo

The phone will run Google’s Android 3.0, will have a 1 Ghz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 1 GB of ROM. The screen size is estimated to be about 4 inches long. The interesting part of the phone is that instead of an analog nub, the phone has a multitouch touchpad. Other than that, it has the usual button layout (including the shoulder buttons). As for memory, it seems that it will support the microSD cards.

Apparently this is still a prototype and there are a few things that needs to be work on but it seems to be coming along. Personally, as a Sony fanboy, it looks interesting and just like many others on the internet, I’m curious to know more about it. I’m just surprise to see one now since there has always been talk about a PS phone but due to some sort of “beef” between Sony’s Playstation department and Ericsson department, it seemed unlikely for such a phone to be made.

What do y’all think about the phone? You think its stupid or too late for Sony to try to make a gaming phone? Or are you interested in the device? Tell us what you think by leaving a comment and check out more images of the phone after the jump.
