It’s Friday and we all know what time of the week that is. No, it’s not time to reorganize your comic books again, it’s a special Halloween edition of ‘Sexy Cosplay Of The Week’. A holiday originally derived from Old Irish meaning (roughly) “summer’s end”, after this all we’re gonna see is snow and shovels. It would be nice to see one last glimpse of sunshine before we head into a winter wonderland. This is a weekend that’s a cosplayer’s dream, or nightmare depending on who you’d ask. With all these ghouls, goblins and kids egging houses it’s only fitting to have some beauty added to the night of candy and stomach aches.

This week we speak the name of: Falling Feathers

This Hispanic cosplayer from Victoria, TX and has been a cosplayer since 2003. Judy, a.k.a Falling Feathers has been a child of the videogame age since the early days of Nintendo. After finding out about cosplay in 2003 she was greatly interested in it by seeing people make the clothing that the anime and video game characters wore. After that she started learning, making her own custom costumes and she hasn’t stopped since. If she’s not in costume at various events she can be found doing photography, which she started in 2005. A registered nurse with an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree she won’t only knock you out she can check to see if your still breathing.

Falling Feathers has admitted to mostly stucking to RPGs, action RPGs, and fighting games so it’s easy to see she loves being a strong woman. Heavily favouring the ‘Final Fantasy’ series, she’s only recently, in the last couple years, started to branch out more. It not a hindrance to her though, as each costume is completed wonderfully and within her budget. Playing anyone from Final Fantasy’s Tifa Lockhart to Vampire Knight’s Yuuki Cross, it’s easy to see why Falling Feathers deserves all the credit she so rightfully does.
