UPDATE: Registration for San Diego Comic-Con 2011 is once again closed. Please read the official statement below:
Once more, unfortunately, there have been issues with Comic-Con registration. So we have, again decided to close it down.
We are well aware that many people have taken time from work, school or other activities and others woke up very early. There really is no way to convey our level regret for this turn of events.
We are currently researching our registration options.
Badge sales will be online only — there will be no onsite sales of badges! Supplies are limited.
Please note: Currently 4-day Badges with Preview Night are SOLD OUT due to onsite sales at Comic-Con in July. 4-day Badges without Preview Night are available. All 4-day Badges purchased online once registration opens will be WITHOUT Preview Night.
Final Reminder: Comic Con tickets for July 2011 will be on sale TODAY.
Originally this was suppose to happen the first of the month but unfortunately the comic con site ran into some issues which resulted in only a handful of tickets being sold. With a crashing of the site sales were subsequently rescheduled. Today is that day.
Four day badges with preview night sold out at the 2010 event so now only four day badges without preview night, and all single days, are available. Prices range between $20 and $105 for adults. Finally, to avoid any confusion, Comic-Con has gone so far as to outline the entire purchasing process on their website. Be sure to read that over quickly before you attempt to purchase your badge. Click here to read all about it and also buy your badge after 6 a.m. PST November 22.
If you’re wondering if you should buck up may we remind you what an EPIC year Comic-Con 2011 is going to be. We might get to see some stuff from The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises and a whole lot more! Thor and Green Lantern films will already have been released by the time Comic-Con starts, but will most likely have some interesting panels regardless. Also, keep in mind Captain America comes out the weekend of Comic-Con, so were bound to get a spectacle out of it, some way. Disney/Marvel and Warner Bros./DC will have a lot to share this year. That’s just movies. Never mind Comic-Con being the mecca for nerd media. Comics, video games, toys/collectibles. Oh my! Oh and lets not forget the girls.
It’s gonna be great.
See you in July! Click here to purchase your passes.
