Recently, Microsoft bumped the Xbox Live subscription to $60 for the new additions such as the ESPN 360 and also because they can get away with it. Either way, Microsoft is looking to add more things to for folks to use on their 360 and it seems that they may be working on some sort of a cable TV service.
While not much is known, it seems that they will try the “a la carte” subscription and will offer premium channels such as HBO and Showtime. Pretty much like the Netflix and Hulu Plus service, you will have to have a Xbox Live Gold Account and pay whatever extra to use the service.
While this probably won’t replace most folks’ regular cable services, this is a step in a right direction. Either way, it’ll make money for Microsoft.
