Is there anything sadder than the last installment of the Indiana Jones’ franchise, Crystal Skull? I think so, apparently Harrison Ford wants to kill of the historic character in the next movie and at last past the torch (I mean, hat) onto his son, play by Shia Labeouf. There is a lot of gossip about Ford wanting this to happen and although it sounds dramatic and quite sad it could definitely be a fitting end to the series of films and give it a worthy ending. However, it’s pretty unlikely that either George Lucas or Steven Spielberg will let Ford, who constantly stoned out of his mind (if you missed Ford’s Conan appearance you’ll see what I mean) have his way. It is said that,
“George especially is resisting the notion but Steven is considering it. Funnily enough Harrison wanted the same for Han Solo in the final Star Wars but George put an end to it. This time he doesn’t have all the say though.”
As far a script is concerned for next the Indy film it is undetermined if there even is one. Supposedly, Ford, Lucas and Spielberg have collectively agreed on a round about idea and are seeing where it goes. However, according to Shia,
“They’re script writing right now,” says Shia. “I got called into Steven’s office and he pitched a little bit to me and it sounds crazy, it sounds really cool.”
So how do you guys feel about possibly saying good-bye to Indy and what do you think they should do for the next film??
