Greetings and Salutations nerdbastards, welcome to the year 2011. After all that turkey and beer from New Year’s eve and the week long hangover what is there to do? How about sitting in your seat, pull up the computer and enjoying the first ‘Sexy Cosplay Of The Week’ for 2011. It’s a new year and that means another 52 weeks of fabric and hours of sewing for thousands of cosplayers. With a new year comes more conventions where everywhere you look people should be getting charged with what their wearing, or more specifically how little their wearing. So sit back, crack open some of that left over champagne, and enjoy the first of many more to come this year.

This week we speak the name of: Eternal Daydream

“Strong-willed, evil, mysterious, eccentric, magical-girl, and of course sexy too!” These are a few words to describe cosplayer Eternal Daydream, Vanessa to everyone else. The college graduate of fashion design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco knows how to put things together. If she’s not at a convention doing cosplay Eternal Daydream enjoys her hobbies of drawing, designing costumes or feeding birds at the park. Heavily favoring anime like Sailor Moon and Card Captor Sakura, as well as games like the Final Fantasy and the Soul Caliber series, it’s easy to see that this is a nerd’s nerd. Not only can she school you in trivia but give her an arcade stick and she’ll feel right at home kicking your ass in 90 seconds flat. It’s easy to play a game but it’s talent when you can school someone dressed as the character your controlling.

Eternal Daydream has attended cons since 2002 but only began to cosplay heavily in 2003. Not knowing how to sew, she had her boyfriend construct her costumes until 2006, when she started to build them herself. San Jose FanimeCon 2002 was the first con she ever attended has since continued to appear every year after. Featured numerous time in Japanese cosplay magazine Cosmode, Vanessa already has her name and face out there to an adoring fan-base. Besides being published she has performed a series of cosplay skits, always enjoying playing to a crowd. Besides that she has one several awards for her costumes since 2004 for things such as best construction and group performance (giggity).
