Finally, the future is now! That’s right folks, at CES, ScentScience have introduced the next evolution in 3D movies, in the form of smell-o-vision.
For $69, you get a device that will release a scent that would coincide with what’s on the screen. It comes with a scent cartridge that lasts up to 200 hours and has 20 different scents. For $19, you can pick up the software editor if you want to play around and make your own scented film.
While this may not be the first time where movies tried to interact with the viewers sense of smell, the same can be said with 3D where now we may have the technology that could make it work.
