Robert Kirkman‘s ‘The Walking Dead’ was the breakout hit of the comic book world, then AMC developed it into a breakout hit series and now it may be head to videogame consoles. Taking control of characters like Glenn, Andrea and Rick as they travel from Atlanta to the far edges of Georgia infested with zombies. A unique situation for what could be a very unique game possibly in the works from a well known developer. Think about all this for a second if you will and then let it blow your mind.
Zombies in yet another videogame?
According to an invitation we received Wednesday, Sam & Max and Back to the Future episodic game developer Telltale will be announcing five new multi-platform projects during a formal event in San Francisco on Thursday, February 17. Among them, says the invitation, is “one based on a just-launched property from the TV and comic book world whose popularity is changing life as some know it.”
A record breaking show, netting six million viewers during it’s first season finale, it’s only fitting that people not only watch the show but also play the game. Sure, it vaguely fits the description provided and there’s no real evidence to support any of this but here’s hoping. Telltale has excelled in games of the storytelling nature and a game pitting the human dynamic against one another could be a fantastic choice. Throwing in the zombies only sweetens the deal. A story telling game suited towards a storytelling series covered in blood. Now will there be a Carl shooting range mini-game?
