Welcome bastards to a new installment of “Stuff You Want, Things You Need, & Everything You Can’t Have” by yours truly, Eric aka geektrooper. Hold your applause until I finish giving you the rundown of some epic stuff from around the web during the week of February 6th to 12th.
Item: Batman Begins Demon Batman & Scarecrow Movie Masterpiece Hot Toys
10th Anniversary Limited Edition 1:6 Scale Action Figure Set
Okay. That may be one of the longest item names ever, but this item is a real treat. Hot Toys recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and to celebrate, they released a special limited edition figure set of the bitchin’ “Demonized Batman” and Scarecrow from Christopher Nolan’s ‘Batman Begins’. What’s really cool is the fact that these were only available for a few days during an exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. It’s pretty awesome that a US retailer is offering these awesome figures to people that couldn’t get to the event. What cool about the set is that Hot Toys never released an alternate form Batman or a Scarecrow figure in the past. These are brand new figures and not some shitty repaint. I already own the set (which I imported from Japan), and I can say they are beautiful. Unfortunately, these are high-end collectibles so they will set you back about $500, but it is well worth the money.

Item: Venom Life-Size Scale Bust by Sideshow Collectibles
Wow. What a sick beast. Sideshow Collectibles released details on their newest 1:1 scale Marvel bust, the incredibly wicked Venom. Venom is a much better follow up to Sideshow’s previously released Carnage life-size bust. Just from the looks of it, it’s going to sit at 25 inches and easily weigh over 30 lbs. The best part of this bust has to be the tongue. Unlike a lot of Venom statues that are on the market that failed at recreating Venom’s signature tongue, Sideshow’s is spiny and creepy as hell. Just like Venom. The Venom life-size scale bust will definitely be limited and will release in the fall. Expect to turn over $599.99 for this

Item: Star Wars Darth Vader SFX Lightsaber Flashlight by Underground Toys
It makes sense. Why not make a flashlight that looks like a lightsaber? I can imagine getting stranded in the middle of a road due to a flat tire with your lady friend and busting out a lightsaber flashlight out of the glove compartment to check on flat. I’m pretty sure that by the time you unload the spare tire out of the truck, she’ll be all over your “lightsaber” (Note: This may not happen. No guarantees.). The lightsaber flashlight will be out in April for a cool $21!

Item: “Eff-ing Toaster” Battlestar Galactica Inspired Tee by Michael Alesich
This shirt is so frakin’ awesome. We all love ‘Battlestar Galactica’ and we especially love Cylons. So why not sport at “Cylon Toaster” tee. Designed by Michael Alesich, this tee features a really cool illustration of a “toaster” set to kill. If you are a hard core BSG fan, this is a nifty tee to wear at your next convention. If weeds out the posers and let you connect with real BSG fans cause they will get the joke (If you don’t get it, go slap yourself once and then go watch a Battlestar Galactica marathon). You can also get this design as a hoodie as well.

Item: DC Comics Collection Gotham City Ring by nOir Jewelry
This item is more for the ladies. nOir Jewerly is putting out some expensive jewelry inspired
by various DC comics. One of the coolest of the collection is this insane lookin’ Gotham City
ring. The ring is solid brass and plated in gunmetal. The city scape is 3D and the windows
are dressed with cubic zirconia stones. This looks like a wonderful gift to your lady friend.
It’s fashionable and makes a mean weapon. Even though its not made with precious metals
and stones, the ring will set you back $225. Too bad that there isn’t a miniature bat-signal
in the ring that you can shine into the sky. That would be bad ass.

Item: Doctor Who Figural TARDIS Mug by Underground Toys
Who wouldn’t want to sip their coffee (spiked with some hard liquor) during a cold day out of a TARDIS? Underground Toys makes some wicked character goods and this mug is pretty awesome. Fashioned to look like the iconic police public call box, this mug also comes with a lid. A lid might not be a big deal to you, but when it comes to the TARDIS, it just wouldn’t be cool without it. The TARDIS mug will be out next month and you can snag one for less than $20! I’m getting one for sure.
