Happy Valentine’s day, while you’re getting chocolate and flowers ready for your partner New York is in full swing of the sweetest toy convention on the planet. The New York Toy Fair showcases the upcoming figures of the latest movies, games or television, as well as the latest in plush and vinyl creations. A four day convention running from the 13th-17th of February in a 350,000 Square Feet building filled with toys . With all these wonderful toys stretched from wall to wall what exactly is going to be there? Spend a few minutes here with us at Nerdbastards and we’ll show you a good time showing off a few of Toy Fair’s 2011 goodies. Just don’t expect a kiss at the end of this date, the most you’re getting is a friendly handshake.
Luke Gallagher, site editor-in-chief will be down on the show room floor today checking out all cool toys that are set for release later this year. He should have a full report on Tuesday. However, over the weekend the interwebs were spreading the Toy Fair gospel and revealing some pretty sweet toys. Action figures for The Walking Dead, Thor, Captain America, G.I. AMc’s The Walking Dead shuffle dinto the hearts and brains of views everywhere with the depiction of Robert Kirkman’s zombie apocalypse tale. Priced at $14.99 these figures from McFarlane toys looks simply badass.
The first series of deluxe 6-inch figures is releasing in September 2011 and includes four fan-favorite characters from the Image comic book including:

The second series of deluxe 6-inch figures is revealed in November 2011 and introduces four figures based on AMC’s original drama including:

-Zombie Biter Each human figure includes multiple interchangeable accessories and several points of articulation for limitless possibility and customization. Each zombie figure features unique, gory play action such as exploding heads and removable limbs. Figures are expected to sell for around $14.99 at retailers nationwide.
From NECA it’s not one, but three new Freddy Krueger figures, each from A Nightmare on Elm Street 1,2, and 3. Each figures come with removable and interchangable heads, still in there development stage and these still look like I would die dreaming about them.
Hasbro revealed their 2011 Star Wars line-up. Clone Wars, Revenge of the Jedi, Commemorative Packs, Galactic Heroes, Exclusives, Vintage stuff and a very special Wars: Return of The Jedi Deathstar San-Diego Comic-Con Exclusive were revealed.
GI Joe is back with it’s 2011 collection in the form of Hasbro’s Collector panel, alongside special Indiana Jones exclusives. The Collection will span Joes, Cobra and the new Renegade series, as well as special 12″ Real America Hero collection and tribute to the late Gianni Lopergolo, pioneer of the photography of the Hasbro Line .
Autobots are rolling out once again with a line up for the upcoming Transformers: Dark of The Moon with this collection of goodies. Not much other than this video but if you see the Optimus Prime Transport truck parked out front of Toy Fair, take a picture.
This year we get two super hero’s, Thor and Captain America, rocking the big screen before next years Avengers team-up film. Until then these toys will have to tide the little superhero in you over until the feature length releases later this year.
There we are, just a taste of what’s in store during this week’s Toy fair, with all it’s glamor and glitz. With things like Angry Brids, DC online and Tetris (what?) all getting toys this year your christmas list is gonna be swamped.
