NB News Round Up: First Good Pic of Red Skull, Title off 2 Hobbit Films Revealed, Phantom Menace 3D Release Date
Whoa, today is not a slow news day. So much going down that we can’t keep up. I rounded up 3 stories, each of which would normally make the front page on their own right, but being we are behind I’m gonna run em’ off briefly in this compilation post. Hope y’all don’t mind.
1. Red Skull- First Real Good Pic of Captain America Villain,
That is the face of true evil. Captain America has been my favorite for years. I have a ton of Captain America comics, sculptures and busts, lithographs and posters, and other crazy Cap merchandise. The Red Skull has long been a character I love to hate. Seeing the Red Skull for the upcoming movie has me doing Jazz hands here. I can’t wait for this movie to roll out.
Red Skull looks awesome, dressed in a sleek black leather gloved outfit Red Skull is ready to create weapons of mass destruction in his secret Nazi laboratory in the morning, jump on his Hydra motorcycle to chase down Allied spies in the afternoon, slaughter thousands of innocents before dinner, and still command fear and loathing while reviewing the troops after sunset.
What do you think? I’m just glad they didn’t put Red Skull into some kind of Village People leather fetish outfit.
2. Full Titles of the Two Hobbit Films Revealed?
TheOneRing has a little tidbit of information regarding the Lord of the Rings prequels. It appears they’ve uncovered the full titles of Peter Jackson‘s upcoming two Hobbit movies.
Here’s their brief report:
Ringer Spy Mr. Underbelly monitors movie titles that are registered by major film studios. Mr. Underbelly noticed that New Line has recently registered the following two film titles:
The Hobbit: There and Back Again
The Hobbit: An/The Unexpected Journey
There and Back Again is fitting. Unexpected Journey sounds like a gay pr0n title. What are your thoughts? Remember, this is not confirmed officially, but it is a relatively good indication of what the two film titles could be.
Germain Lussier of slasfilm said it best, “Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace is an abysmal addition to the Star Wars saga, It ruined the character of Anakin, destroyed the mystery of The Force and introduced us to Jar Jar Binks. However, I’m without a doubt going to check out this re-release to see how well the 3D conversion turned out”. We may all hate the SW prequels, but will all line up happily like lambs to the slaughter just because it’s Star Wars and in 3D.
