We already know that Bane (played by Tom Hardy) and Catwoman (played by Anne Hathaway) will be in Christopher Nolan‘s upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.

We apologize in advance for reporting every single damn quote that falls out of some actors, or production staffs mouth regarding TDKR (comes with the territory) but, veteran actor Gary Oldman (who plays Commissioner Jim Gordon), has let a very interesting statement out of the box to E! Online in regards to a non-mentioned big bad.

I think it’s a villain from one of the old, old, from way back from the old comics. It is a Batman villian… It’s not going to be the Joker.

If I told you who the villain was, they’d kill me.

Speaking to MTV, Mr. Oldman acknowledges that he has not yet read the script. So, it could be nothing. On the other hand, the guy knows more than we maybe there is something big hear that hasn’t slipped yet.

Who do you think it could be? There are a few contenders: The Penguin could easily be done as a mobster-like figure, same with Clayface (who may be too similar to Bane), and Dr. Huge Strange possibly as an expert the police bring in to help hunt the Bat.

Here’s hoping for Clock King. I suppose I’d settle for Calendar Man as well, but clearly it’s going to be The Cavalier.

Let us know who you think in the comments below!
