Everyday more superhero news trickles though the cracks of the interwebz and us Nerd Bastards do our best to gather up these nuggest for you, our loyal readers. Superheroes are all the buzz right now so look for this becoming a common feature.

First up, mere hours after getting a glimpse of the new Captain America trailer on Entertainment Tonight the studio released another itty-bitty clip to continue getting you all worked up for the eventual release of the full trailer. What can I say, they really know how to tease us.

It’s a shorty for sure. In the clip Dr. Abraham Erskine gives Steve Rogers the chance of a lifetime. The trailer should be appearing any day now so stay tuned. We’ll be bringing you the full length awesomeness once we get it.

More news after the jump, including a new image of pre-transformation Beast from X-Men: First Class.

Next, FOX has released another image from the upcoming X-Men: First Class via their Facebook page (obviously the only outlet used for exclusives nowadays). Everything about this film is shaping up nicely. We were all wowed by the trailer and every time we get another sneak peak my excitement rises. I hope this film can put the X-Men movie franchise back on track. In this new image we see a pre-transformation Beast chatting up Mystique.

For being an exclusive image I was really hoping for something more than what we glimpsed in the trailer, maybe either one of these characters appearing more in the ‘blue.’ As well as the new image they took fan questions for Beast actor, Nicholas Hoult. You can check out the Q&A on their Facebook page but here’s some questions revealing how much Kelsey Grammer’s performance influenced Hoult,

What did you think of the original Beast?

I thought Kelsey Grammer did a fantastic job when he portrayed Beast, his charm and eloquence was something I wanted to try and emulate. However, in First Class I play Hank younger before becoming a politician, when he is a scientist and still learning about himself and his abilities. So I didn’t want to try and just play a younger Kelsey but also bring something new to the role.

What type of preparation did you do for the role of Beast?

In preparation for the role I watched lots of Frasier and listened to people who spoke with a similar accent to Kelsey, my dialect coach and I worked on creating something towards Kelsey’s dialect but without being an imitation. I also did lots of fitness training as being in the Beast costume and make up could be very tiring and tough physically.

Finally, fans of both Starbucks coffee and Marvel comics have something to celebrate. Betcha didn’t think there would be a lot of crossover there, huh? Well the ultra-present coffee company is adding Marvel Digital Comics to their Starbucks Digital Network. Meaning customers will be able to view any of Marvels’ digital offering in their favorite Starbucks shop. They are also bringing material from ESPN, The Economist and The New York Times. Of course these items will be viewable only, no downloading.

On the Entertainment Channel, watch for the upcoming arrival of the Marvel Universe as Super Heroes, mutants, aliens, armor-clad super-geniuses and thunder gods join forces with the Starbucks Digital Network on Apr. 23, 2011. Known for engrossing stories and a library of more than 8,000 characters, Marvel Comics gives Starbucks customers unlimited, free access to its full library of Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Wolverine and others await to captivate as customers explore the comic realm and imagine fighting villains with a cup of coffee in hand.

This is a fantastic idea to reach new customers with titles they’re already familiar with but probably never cracked the cover of an actual comic book. Finally, putting digital comics to good use. Hey, DC, think you could come up with something like this to entice readers to start using the digital interface?
