You thought Fox’s series Fringe was the last time you’d ever see Sci-fi cult icon Leonard Nimoy again, didn’t you? He did say he was going to retire after his time on the J.J. Abrams created show was done, but it looks like pension is going to be put on hold. Nimoy still has enough “sterner stuff” to be the latest member of the Autobots in the new Transformers movie.
So much for retirement
Mr. Nimoy has been confirmed to be voicing the moustached and aged Sentinel Prime inTransformers: Dark of The Moon, coming this July. Ya know, the one the astronauts find sleeping on the Dark Side of the Moon at the end of the teaser trailer.
EW announced the casting for the aged Autobot, and it couldn’t go to a classier fella.
This won’t be the first time that Mr.Spock has voiced a transformer however, he voiced Galvatron in the 1988 Transformers: The Movie.
The score for Autobots is now Nimoy:2 Shatner: 0
Transformers: Dark of The Moon hits human theaters everywhere July 1st, 2011.
