Hey, funny story, did you hear that a few months ago Keanu Reeves let word slip that there was going to be a Bill & Ted 3 in the works? Yeah, it’s real but we haven’t heard much else since pal Alex Winters shared a few details on the progress of the sequel. Now finally there has been a break and the phone booth is returning thanks to MTV and their recent interview with star Keanu Reeves.
While in the middle of promoting his current movie Henry’s Crime, Reeves gave an update on the current state of Bill & Ted 3, saying: “I believe the writers are six weeks away from a draft. No pressure, guys!” Looks like they’re running their balls pretty close to the bandsaw on this one, but he did go on to tell a bit of the plot to the next film.
“I know a little bit. But I don’t know — the fellas went off and cooked it up. I don’t know what happened when they put the elements together.”
In other words, he doesn’t know squat. As for where this will pick up in the lives of Bill S. Preston, Esq. (Winters) and Ted “Theodore” Logan (Reeves).
“When we last got together, part of it was that Bill and Ted were supposed to have written the song that saved the world, and it hasn’t happened,” he said. “So they’ve now become kind of possessed by trying to do that. Then there’s an element of time and they have to go back.”
Check out the entire interview below:
I’m really interested to see what kind of story the quartet (Reeves, Winters, and writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon) have in mind. Bill and Ted have been to the future, been to the past. They’ve been to heaven and they’ve been to hell. Where do they go from here? While they figure it out, can someone please fix Alex Winters’ face? It looks like a really abused vagina.
