I must admit that I really do enjoy the Harry Potter novels. They are just fun to read by people of all ages, whether your are 4 or 94.
The movies, on the other hand, are very much hit and miss. Some of them have been done extremely well (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, I’m looking at you) while others have glossed over too many things in their quest to fill a two hour movie (*ahem* Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince).
But, the film released last year, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One exceeded my expectations, and was a return to form for the series. It was an extremely well-done adaptation of the book, and despite a few criticisms, was rather good.
I’m very excited for the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise, which comes out on July 15, 2011 starring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes.
Below are a few pictures showcasing some extremely important scenes from the film from Entertainment Weekly.
I’m excited for the movie. Are you?
