If you’re familiar with the recent string of Marvel films you know after the credits they slip in a little tease about their next feature. Thor will be no different and the little spoiler has found it’s way to the web. Unfortunately, the video was quickly pulled, but not before valiant bloggers were able to record what they saw.

Click the jump for a summary of the post-credits scene as well as a gallery of new hi-res images featuring Thor, Loki, Sif, Agent Coulson and the Warriors Three.

The good folks over at Geeky Tyrant were able to catch the quickly disabled video and posted coverage of all spoilery goodness,

So in the last scene of the movie Dr. Selvig played by Stellan Skarsgård meets up with Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson, in some kind of government S.H.I.E.L.D. location. Fury is standing in front of a table with a large metal box/case on it. They go on to discuss some recent discoveries that Selvig has made in relation to some of the alternate universes. Fury then asks Selvig for his advice on something… and that’s what is in the case on the table. Fury opens up the case and inside is the the Tesseract or Cosmic Cube linking the film to Captain America. Selvig then asks what is it, Fury tells him that it is a source of incredible power. After he says this the camera moves a bit revealing what is supposed to be Selvig’s reflection, but it’s not. Instead we see a reflection of Loki played by Tom Hiddleston. So Loki is actually possessing Selvig. Loki responds to Fury with… “That’s very interesting…” Boom, end.

Hmmm…Interesting, very interesting. Not surprisingly this post-credit scene features Jackson’s Nick Fury, he’s been involved in every film series, slowly linking them together. I think The Avengers will be somehow involving Loki and the cosmic cube. And by “I think” I mean it’s glaringly obvious. Rumors have been circling forever claiming Loki will the main villain of super hero team up film and armed with something of “incredible power” he’s a formidable opponent.

Here’s a gallery of beautiful images from the upcoming Thor to hold you over till the May 6th opening.
