Well I at least thinks it’s safe to say this won’t be as bad a the Wolverine film but I’m still not compelled to see X-Men:First Class.  And oddly enough, my reasoning…the stupid fucking theme song they use. I don’t why but it really bugs me.  It just doesn’t get me excited and there isn’t enough of a payoff from the mellow song even when it picks up for the action scene. Ah, I digress.

So as far the film is concerned I hope it’s not fucking boring although it looks like it could have a tendency to be. Directed by Matthew Vaughn the film,

charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

Which in theory seems pretty cool.  I’m just not sure McAvoy and Fassbender have the chops to pull off being the leaders of this group of young mutants.  However, Jennifer Laurence looks as though she is going to give a pretty badass performance which is pretty exciting!

On another happy note the action scenes in this beast look pretty sweet!  We get to lots of stuff blow up above ground and below!  What will save this film in my opinion is it’s pacing.  If the there is a steady flow from start to finish without lots of long distracting scenes that pull us out of the story than it has a chance at being pretty damn good.  What do you guys think??  The newest installment of the X-Men series start James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones and Kevin Bacon and hit theaters June 3rd.
