Batman enthusiasts can get jollies off with this new trailer for the theatrical extravaganza of acrobatics, illusions, and thrilling stunts in Batman LIVE. While the trailer seems to give some very close and detailed views of the costumes, it does not yet have much in the way for what in particular is in the show. Of course, what we can definitely glean off of this trailer is that this show will have a lighter, maybe cartoonish, plot compared to the dark drama that we’ve been accustomed to in the Nolan reinterpretation of Batman.
I will reserve my comment on whether this show is up to par with the vamped up version Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark. But, for those in the states and abroad who’d like to watch this show, it opens in Manchester on July 19, and will start a UK tour before the North America tour in 2012. Do you think this show will make it or will be overshadowed by the “Spidey” Musical.

Faithfully adapted from the DC Comics characters and stories, BATMAN LIVE focuses on Robin’s quest for justice, which leads him to follow in the footsteps of his hero, the mysterious vigilante known as the Batman – much to the dismay of his protective guardian, millionaire Bruce Wayne – who secretly happens to be Batman.
A dazzling celebration of storytelling and stagecraft, BATMAN LIVE is at its heart an affecting coming of age story. Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson – both orphaned at an early age – must first learn to overcome their own fears and forge their own family – along with Police Commissioner James Gordon and Bruce’s trusted butler, Alfred Pennyworth – if they’re going to survive the combined forces of Batman’s larger-than-life rogues gallery: The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, The Riddler, Two-Face, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.
