E3 Video Game Trailer Roundup Continues!

The trailers just keep pouring in, and E3 is less than a week away. With this plethora of trailers, we’ve once again compiled them all in our roundup. From sexy and improved Tomb Raider, down to fly mobsters with guns, we’ve got the anticipated and random trailers for games coming out soon. Now let’s get started!

Tomb Raider Trailer

Tomb Raider gets a new look and attitude that has all the boys wanting to come over to her yard, whether she has milkshakes or not. Square Enix’s reboot of the once invincible Lara Croft, now shows her as youth stepping out into the world only to face the cruelty of nature. After watching the trailer below, I can’t help but be astounded by the graphics and a part of me is more excited about this Lara Croft than the other one. The games release date is still unknown, but take a gander at the new Tomb Raider in this cinematic trailer.

Game Plot Synopsis:
Fresh from academy and in search of lost relics, a 21-year-old Lara Croft journeys to an island off the coast of Japan aboard the Endurance, a salvage vessel helmed by Captain Conrad Roth. Before anchoring at bay, the ship is cleaved in two by an unforeseen storm leaving Croft separated from any other survivors and washed ashore. She must endure physical and emotional torture in order to survive the island.

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception

Drake’s back and ready to fight!  In this newly released trailer, of one of the most popular game franchises today, Drake and Sully show off some of the new weapons, and the Syria environment in this co-operative gameplay that has gamers everywhere drooling. (wipe, wipe) The game hits the street on November 1st 2011.

Game Plot Synopsis:
The journey propels fortune hunter Nathan Drake on a daring trek into the heart of the Arabian Desert, a journey that pits him and his mentor Victor Sullivan against the occult treachery of a shadowy clandestine organization and its ruthless leader. When the terrible secrets of this lost city are unearthed, Drake’s quest descends into a desperate bid for survival that strains the limits of his endurance and forces him to confront his deepest fears.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time

Activision’s release of the trailer for Spiderman Edge of Time gives us our first look at Anit-Venom, and blows our mind with action packed scenes that promise us good things. Speaking of which, are the game’s new feature “cause and effect” gameplay system. This means that players will see the immediate and sometimes unexpected effects of actions taken by one Spider-Man changes the timeline of the other Spider-Man. This game’s release date is said to be later this year, so all the Spidey Gamers will have to bide their time with this trailer until its release.

Game Plot Synopsis:
It seems an “evil scientist” in the 2099 world goes back in time to the Amazing Spider-Man time frame and kills Spidey. Spider-Man 2099 sees this, but it doesn’t stop the world from going down a skewed path — a trailer showed the Statue of Liberty in 2099 morphing into a sword-bearing woman as the timeline reacted to the death. Knowing how things were supposed to be, Spider-Man 2099 reaches back to Amazing Spider-Man (pre-death), and the duo starts to work together — although they don’t get along at first. How do these heroes separated by time communicate? Picture-in-picture. When we’re playing as one Spidey, we’ll see the other in the bottom ring corner of the screen.

The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings

Atari has released its trailer for The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. I don’t know much about this franchise, but from what I gather this game features an immersive non-linear story, a dynamic tactical combat system, and a realistic game world. The games release date is unknown at the moment.

Game Plot Synopsis:
A time of untold chaos has come. Mighty forces clash behind the scenes in a struggle for power and influence. Northern Kingdoms mobilize their armies and prepare for war. But armies on the march are not enough to stop a bloody conspiracy. Someone is hunting crowned heads. Every assassination attempt intensifies the chaos, and might truly does make right these days. Cruelty and violence have become daily fare… Do you dare stand alone among the mighty forces that are fighting for power over the Northern Kingdoms? Do you truly dare?

Saints Row: The Third

We end our round up with THQ’s Saints Row: The Third  trailer, which promises epic good times with a sex toy. Yes, you heard me right…a SEX TOY. I’ve never played the game, but by far the  fluid fighting, and random luchadores have me intrigued with this franchise. Who wouldn’t be impressed by a guy who can keep his cigarette lit even after shanking someone is beyond me? Release date for the game is November 15th 2011.

Game Plot Synopsis:
Saints Row: The Third, gives you control of the Saints at the height of their power, and you live the life to show for it. Take a tank skydiving, call in a satellite-targeted airstrike on a Mexican wrestling gang, and defend yourself against a highly-trained military force using only a sex toy in the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen. Strap it on!
