Disney just unveiled their new line of Disney-exclusive Star Wars Muppets figures, due this November when The Muppets movie comes out.

The sets are as follows:
• Kermit the Frog as Luke Skywalker (with lightsaber) and Miss Piggy as Princess Leia
• Beaker as C-3PO and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew as R2-D2 (with separate “Star Wars” faces to reveal the Muppets beneath the masks)
• Link Hogthrob as Han Solo and Fozzie Bear as Chewbacca
• Sam the Eagle as Obi-Wan Kenobi (with lightsaber) and Gonzo as Darth Vader (with lighsaber and his chicken Camilla as a Stormtrooper, with separate face)

To celebrate the opening of the Star Tours attraction, Darth Vader, accompanied by two Stormtroopers, visits the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim California. Hey Disney, Chad Vader called, he wants he skit back.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Live In Concert premiered in New York in 2009 and, this October, will come to the West Coast for several stops. The event is a feature length, digital presentation of the film on a 60 foot screen while the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale and the Phoenix Boys Choir perform the score live. Next year, and the year after that, The Two Towers and The Return of the King will get similar treatments.

Variety alerted us to the concert touring but all the official dates are on its Facebook page. Here they are:

  • October 13 7:30PM – San Diego, CA (Valley View Casino Center)
