Superhero Round Up: Wonder Woman Teaser Footage, Avengers Set Report, Ryan Reynolds on Deadpool Director
Super Hero Round Up? All the little Superhero movie bits that you should know about, but just don’t make a full post on their own.
7 Seconds in Heaven with Wonder Woman
“They did a great pilot and worked really hard on it. And I have huge respect for David E. Kelley. But we looked at the schedule and our needs and where things were falling into place. And it just didn’t seem to fit.”
The inanity of the pilot’s script and the overall convoluted structure of the show could’ve had something to do with its rejection. But, what do I know!? Anyway, check out the video for yourselves:

The Avengers Meet Stargate
A set of tweets were posted under the now disabled Twitter handle @Lionheard3rd, allegedly reporting from the set of The Avengers. Now, the authenticity of this set report is not guaranteed so take it with a grain of salt; it appears to reveal the film’s antagonists: possibly the Skrulls or Apophis.
# First test explosion: Badassness!
# Dargo’ing up the actors takes a bit
# Scarlet came up to us and asked about our equipment. Funny watching her be impressed w/ us. She’s pretty cool.
# The crane shot of Hawkeye and Blackwidow is money.
# Explosion 2: even badasser!
# Watching them choreograph Cap beatin’ up some aliens (or somethin) too cool.
# The aliens use Jaffa staffs. Tel’c would not be pleased.
# Everything is moving to the otherside of the set. It’s funny watching Joss carry his chair.
# Got the schedule for tomorrow, must try to be on that shift.
# For those of you who geek over these things, they’re using iPads to show ppl the shot lists w/ the CGI or a rough makeup of it.
# Joss just did his example of an alien charging down set. Scary is not the first word I’d choose, nor the fifth.
# Getting coverage w/ stunt doubles now. Suddenly a lot of shots are becoming clear.
Tim Miller is a Cheap Whore
In a recent interview with MTV, Ryan Reynolds spoke about the newly signed Deadpool director, Tim Miller, and had a lot of nice things to say about his ass (not directly). Miller was someone that the cast had had their eyes on for some time:
“I love Tim. Tim is someone who we all vetted through and through. He’s a guy who captures the spirit of it, and he’s also an incredible visual artist.”
They’re going to get down and dirty with this film; Miller being a cheap buy makes it a lot easier.
“Also, Tim came cheap, which helped as well. In order to do this movie the way we want to do it is pretty nasty, and pretty hard. You can’t exactly have a $200 million budget when you want to do a movie like this.”
Like a lot of other movies, the visuals are sure to be good — but the real question is how well the story of Deadpool will be told?
