This is NerdBastards weekly game release of the week list, where we give y’all a heads up on what has come out for the consoles and PC/Mac. We also cover downloadable titles as well.

We only got a few releases this week but they are titles that are worth checking out as we got some shooting goodness and not to mention, some action-adventure set in a fantasy world. There’s even one downloadable game that features fighting mechs, who doesn’t love fighting mechs?

Click on the Read More Button to check out some of these titles and see which one of these games will be taking up most of your time until next weeks batch of video games.

F.E.A.R. 3 (or F.3.A.R. for you folks that love numbers as letters)

F.E.A.R. 3 is a First-Person Shooter (FPS) that blends classic single and multiplayer combat with the unforgettable Horror/Survival gameplay that the F.E.A.R. franchise is known for. The third game in the F.E.A.R. series, F.E.A.R. 3 continues the intricate storyline tying together the psychically dangerous mother Alma Wade with her two sons “Point Man” and Paxton Fettel, as well as the F.E.A.R. operations team. Players take control of both “Point Man” and Paxton Fettel at different times in the game, utilizing each’s unique abilities and powers in a dark adventure that will test the player’s loyalties, combat skills and sense of duty. Additional features include: co-op and multiplayer modes, cinematics and story input by John Carpenter and Steve Niles, and additional downloadable content (DLC) available online.

After three delays we are finally seeing the third installment of the F.E.A.R. series and you can believe that this will be crazy like the others. Being able to play co-op with two different characters. Add in an updated cover system and more things that are suppose to scare the shit out of you and we may have a shooter worth checking out.

Available: Xbox 360; Playstation 3; PC

Dungeon Siege 3

Dungeon Siege 3 is an Action RPG that seamlessly blends intuitive fast-paced gameplay, a robust RPG system featuring a large selection of abilities, loot galore and the depth of story Square Enix and Obsidian Entertainment are known for creating. Players will be able to adventure by themselves, on the couch with friends, or online in a fully multiplayer experience.

From the fine folks that brought us Fallout: New Vegas and Neverwinter Nights 2 (and it’s add0-ons), we get this fantasy action-adventure game where you can play as 4 different characters. If you want a quick taste of the game, there is a demo available for all three platforms that it is set to be released on.

Available: Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC

Shadows of the Damned

His name is Garcia Hotspur, hunter of demons, and his wrath will bring hell to its knees. From the creative genius of Suda 51 (No More Heroes) and Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil) comes an all-new psychologically twisted vision of hell unlike anything seen before. Shadows of the Damned combines visceral action with dark, grotesque horror to create a mind-shattering adventure that has to been seen to be believed.

What’s this? A survival horror game that is being developed by the minds of Suda 51 (No More Heroes series, Killer7) and Shinji Mikami(Resident Evil and many other Capcom titles)? Hell to the yes! While the core story may not be original, the gameplay makes it fun and hey, unlike the Resident Evil series, you can shoot and move at the same time. If you’re looking for something different in the survival horror genre, then give this game a go.

Available: Xbox 360, Playstation 3
