With San Diego Comic Con less than a week away, excitement is building about the treats and offerings that will be screened. In particular, Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as the Wall-Crawler, whose ready for his close-up, it seems, on this week’s SDCC-centric issue of Entertainment Weekly.
The Amazing Spider-Man is the subject of a cover story in the newest issue of EW, which will be on newsstands tomorrow. Picutes from the issue include close-up looks of Garfield in the Spider-Man costume, as well as first looks at Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors (The Lizard), Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May. Check out the pictures and sound off below. Are your excited? Is the new costume cool to you? I still have ambivalent feelings about it myself because I’m getting that 90s Ben Reilly, Clone Saga vibe off it. But hey, maybe that’s just me.
In addition to the Spidey-Pics, SuperHeroHype is reporting that the first trailer for ASM will be premiering before select prints of Captain America: The First Avenger next weekend. The source of this info is the same one that tipped them off about The Dark Knight Rises poster and trailer, so it’s suspected to be pretty solid intel. And this is no teaser either, as the trailer is reported to clock in at about two and a half minutes. Stay tuned for more news about Amazing Spider-Man in the days to come, the trailer is expected to appear online in the next 10 days.
