Nerd Stock Art Pile: Sexy Firefly Femmes, Harry Potter Horcruxes, Doctor Who’s Vacation Spots, Harry Potter-ized Classic Albums, Stained Glass Comic Book Covers, Naughty Superhero Statues, Captain America Propaganda Posters, Fatass Wolverine, Maybe Wonder Woman’s Tits, AND MORE!
The Interwebz is a great place for artists to share their nerdy work, even though a lot of the time it’s stuff like Harry Potter and Voldemort poking each other with their “wands” and shit like that. There are a ton of awesome things to behold every day but we’re fuckin’ lazy bastards, so we just put it all together once a week to keep your mojos happy.
This week we’ll start off with some art nouveau pieces by Megan Lara, which are on sale here. These posters come in a set of four, one for each of the major women in Firefly and Serenity. Who doesn’t like themselves a purdy poster of a sexy space hooker, and then some?
Jump for more awesomeness!
Fro Design has made posters of each of the Horcruxes from Harry Potter. Check out the site for a better view of each individual poster; they’re pretty damn awesome.
Ever wonder what the Doc does when the TARDIS takes him someplace random and there aren’t any heroic deeds to be done? Andrew Le has. Basically, the TARDIS just gets parked wherever while the crew squeezes in some chillaxin’ time before the next crisis arises.
NextMovie paired up with Red Old Jalopy to bring us these Harry Potter-ized versions of classic album covers, including Lord Voldemort as Michael Jackson, the Deathly Hallows on the Dark Side of the Moon cover, Ron Weasley as David Bowie, and more!
Exactly what it would look like, were Picasso still around to paint his own vision of Star Wars art. Thanks to DeviantART artist Tommervik.
It takes quite some dedication to create stained-art versions of comic book covers. Thus, Brandon Michael Barker is selling each of his works for $300. But they’re actually kinda cool.
If you’ve ever considered a My Brute and G.I. Joe mash-up, and imagined how a battle between Duke and Cobra Commander would work out, this piece is for you. Artist jeiboi calls it G.I. Brutte.
This drawing of Batman by Charles M. Schulz, who created the Peanuts, is hanging out in Carmine Infantino‘s bathroom. While it’s a great picture, perhaps it’d be a better idea to put it somewhere where people aren’t shitting as they admire it.
No idea who was the mastermind behind these, but this picture showed up on Nerd Approved. These statues are apparently located somewhere in Rome, probably for some nerd who’s always wanted to see Batman and Superman get all giggity with each other. (I’m sure there’s fan fiction on the matter!)
Woody, Hobbes and Pooh are fuckin’ badass. This is what life was like before they made it big, according to Coran Stone.
This piece comes from the same guy, and it’s called “The Big Guns“. Astro Boy, Mega Man, Robo Cop, Iron Man, Inspector Gadget, and Optimus Prime are all gearing up for some kickass adventuring. The artist has a very distinctive style and feel to his work, which enables him to really make these things his own.
This WWII propaganda-style poster of Captain America, by Eric Tan, is one of many that were commissioned by Mondo Tees.
This Hydra poster was also commissioned by Mondo Tees, who are planning to sell these posters at some point in the future; they haven’t yet announced the selling date. Taylor Stout and Oily Moss are to be credited for this one.
It’s Fatverine! The nickname for this fatass drawing of Wolverine was lovingly coined by artist PandaFace, who enjoys the idea of Wolverine completely letting himself go. And, boy, did he let himself go!
“I Am Boba Fett“, (and I kick ass!) by 3nrique.
Daniel Lucanu & Ismael Municio entitled this Yoda art piece “Ooooooooaargh”. It’s a very good work of art, but what the hell is Yoda so shocked about? I’m betting that he’d found some Star Wars porn parodies.
Some dude named Andrew put together the posters for each of the three Dark Knight movies. The concept of having the Batman symbol continue across the three posters is awesome and well-executed, but I can’t stand what he chose to do with the text. Still a pretty good piece of work, though.
And last, but not least…
Wonder Woman peels Plastic Man off her body. You can’t fault the guy for trying to cop a feel of her titties. He’s a pretty resourceful bastard, ain’t he? By dominiquefam. I can’t tell who the random chick in the back is, but she looks like she had her costume ripped off as well.
‘Til next week!
