I’m still crying over how bad the original Ghost Rider was. It managed to pack in every comic book and action movie cliché imaginable, laughable casting, an illogical script, wooden acting, and jarring direction for straight-faced amusement. But, the tears may be over.
The sequel to the 2007 film my have finally redeemed it’s soul with the help of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank 1 and 2)While we have no footage to give (when we do you’ll know) but we do have a first look at Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance by way of scans that appear in the upcoming issue of Empire.
Luke Gallagher, head chief cake to NB, saw the footage at SDCC and thinks ” Ghostrider himself looks menacing, nightmarish even. He’s an actually bad-ass this time, spits and pisses fire. The action is insane. Epic stunts with plenty of crazy Neveldine/Taylor camera angles. It’s Ghost Rider on crack!”
Thanks to The Film Stage for taking the time to scan these.
