The president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, spoke with Empire Magazine about Joss Whedon‘s The Avengers. He also teases the masses about the movie’s “big threat” — and I mean big (*winkwinknudgenudge*).
On Whedon’s sense of humor and his way of handling the big cast:
He handles it very well. While I don’t think anyone’s going to mistake it for a comedy, I do think that the humor that’s inherent in most of our movies, and which is inherent on in Joss’ work, has found it’s way into this.
Aside from Loki, we also have:
I’ve never been shy of saying that there needs to be a big threat, and it is a very, very big event that requires all of The Avengers. It’s big. IT IS BIG.
Now, this could mean a physically big villain… or a figurative big event. Rumor’s got it that this could be the Hulk, the Skrulls, or even Thanos. But, guys, it’ll be BIG.
What do y’all think?
