We have no passes for you this week, not one. Everything on this list you can either buy or rent with confidence, so let’s get started.
Dexter: The Fifth Season
In the aftermath of last season’s chilling finale Rita’s death has left Dexter feeling responsible possibly even… guilty. Unable to deal with the trauma Dexter makes a drastic decision that will impact everyone around him. Quinn stirs up trouble at the station when he notes that Rita’s murder which is being pinned on the Trinity Killer doesn’t fit his normal murder profile. Things get even more heated when Quinn suggests to LaGuerta that they look at the husband: Dexter Morgan.
Everyone’s favorite serial killer is back for a fifth season of bloody mayhem. Need I say more?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Complete Season 9
When this lighthearted animated series — based on a much darker line of comic books — introduced the world to a foursome of martial arts-loving turtles, these “heroes in a half shell” were all the rage.
You know you want to keep your collection going, so don’t even try to pretend you don’t want to buy this season of TMNT and hunker down in front of the TV in your pajamas with a bowl of extra sugary cereal. Turtle Power!
In this horror-thriller based on the popular comic book series, Paul Bettany plays Priest, a man-of-the-cloth hell-bent on rescuing his niece while taking down a horde of rampaging vampires in the process. With a terrific cast that includes Karl Urban, Maggie Q, Christopher Plummer and Brad Dourif, this is a genre-bending apocalyptic action movie that’s every bit as wild and blood-soaked as its source material.
Paul Bettany is a renegade priest killing vampires. Corny or not, if that’s not enough to merit at least one rental of this one, something’s wrong with the world.
Demoltion Man Blu-Ray
Searching for new directions, Sylvester Stallone starred in this farcical, 1993 SF piece about an ex-cop (Stallone) freed from 36 years of forced hibernation to help catch a criminal (Wesley Snipes) who released himself from a similar incarceration. The futuristic story finds Los Angeles a sea of Taco Bells and enforced peace, and within that satiric overview Stallone’s character becomes a gun-toting fish out of water. The film plays like a live-action cartoon, and while there is nothing particularly wrong with that, Demolition Man is a rather flat experience. The irony of a peaceable society that both requires and despises its bloody saviors has been captured far more profoundly in movies like Dirty Harry. Sandra Bullock costars.
Sylvester Stallone is a renegade cop who plays by no one’s rules…in the future. Wesley Snipes is a criminal mastermind…in the future. Both were cryogenically frozen, both get thawed out, and the crime-free future will never be the same. If you really need see to this in high definition, you could buy it, but I think you’re better off with the rental.
Batman: The Brave and the Bold Season Two Part One
Batman travels to different times — even to different dimensions — to fight crime in this animated series, which finds the Caped Crusader teaming up Green Arrow, Plastic Man and other superheroes to thwart a host of cunning villains.
We all love dark, angsty Batman, but we also love cartoon Batman running around with fellow superheroes, cracking wise and solving crimes. Definitely check this one out.
