The Interwebz is a great place for artists to share their nerdy work, even though the majority of the time it’s a bunch of fuckin’ weird shit. There are a ton of awesome things to behold every day but we’re fuckin’ lazy bastards, so we just put it all together once a week to keep your mojos happy. Wands at the ready, y’all!
We’ll start this week off with some awesome Batman art by Bob Strang. It’s entitled “We’re All Batsy in the Belfry”, and includes most of the villains Batman’s pwned over the years. I really like the style and composition of this piece, though — very cool.
This work by Amy Mebberson was made specifically to be sold at the SDCC. Who wouldn’t want a Muppet-style Doctor Who poster?
This kickass portrait of Ezio from Assassin’s Creed was done by Carina White. It’s really well done; I like her use of white space.
Batman and Predator are going at it! One of the Hellboy comic artists, Mike Mignola, is to thank for this one.
Mr. Hipp calls this piece “A Fistful of Fett”, and it’s a poster that was inspired by both Star Wars and A Fistfull of Dollars.
Ever wonder what it’d be like if Wolverine, Hulk, Spider-Man and Ghost Rider were to take over the Fantastic Four? This guy did.
I have no idea who actually came up with these, but this is one of an entire series of classic SNES games reimagined with the Criterion Collection box art. You can check out more here.
Retrovenus is the mastermind behind this concept art of an Iron Man inspired monster. So badass.
Carlson Woon bred a Transformer and a Xenomorph. That is all.
These guys made this awesome Marimba inspired arrangement of the Zelda theme song and performed it and it’s just so much win.
Skottie Young‘s little doodle of Doc Oc cracks me the fuck up.
This Jurassic Park poster was made by Aaron Horkley for Mondo Tees.
“How to TRON Your Dragon” is an awesome mashup of two movies (guess which ones? Heh.) by Otis Frampton.
Another Mondo Tees bit. This Monsters, Inc. poster by Tom Whalen is actually really cute, though!
‘Til next week!
