Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut.

Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

While most of us were partyin’ hard at Dragon*Con, this adventurous Dalek took to the desert for this year’s Burning Man. I think he misunderstood the name of the gathering, but I’m sure he had fun nonetheless. (The Mary Sue)

Don’t you wish someone still packed you a brown bag lunch everyday, then decorated it with some of the best, nerdy art you’ve ever seen!? If only. Check out the entire gallery of Lunch Bag Art over on the artist’s Tumblr. Coolest Dad ever. (Geek Tyrant)

Again, Dragon*Con was this passed weekend and it truly is a spectacle of amazing cosplay, look for our costume gallery later in the day. There were even people with really impressive dinosaur costumes. But none as cute as these!  (TDW)

A brilliant mash-up of all three Doctors of new Who (9, 10, 11) set to Clint Mansell’s music from Requiem for a Dream. Awesome job,  LastWhovian! (Nerdist)

If you didn’t already know, voice actors are awesome. And this guy, might be one of the most impressive around, and I don’t think he’s even working for anyone. Check out this video of his catalogue of Star Wars voices. Mind-blowingly good. Part two is here. (Geek Tyrant)

Learn the ancestry of your Xbox 360 controller with this awesome infographic, The Evolution of Video Game Controllers, containing over “119 gamepads, arcade sticks, zapper guns and more, from 1958 to today.” For a zoom-able version, click here. (TDW: Geek)

Is there any video game theme more beautiful than Legend of Zelda? Probably not. Watch the video above to hear it performed from an original arrangement on a marimba. Which is like a big xylophone of something. (Geek Tyrant)
