Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut.

Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

Leave it to a geek to see the potential for art not simply with colored pencils, but rather in colored pencils. For more check out Ghostpatrol’s Flickr gallery. (Nerd Approved)

Foursquaropoly from Deanna McDonald on Vimeo.

Some genius thought to combine Foursquare and Monopoly, transforming Foursquare into something fun and slightly less creepy and stalkerish. Well, no, it’s still kind of creepy. (TDW: Geeks)

Comics are known for their less than realistic interpretations of humans, sexy female humans in particular. Well, some 4Channers are attempted to strike the pose of Mary Jane from the cover of Spider-Man #601 by J. Scott Campbell, and are having some difficulty. Well, duh! No human can sit like that, at least not comfortably while relaxing with a cup ‘o’ joe. For the entire (hilarious) compilation of real people attempting the pose, click here. (TDW: Geek)

While I doubt this was intentional, this webcam looks uncannily like a turret from Portal 2. Which, assuming it was unitentional, makes me terrified to ever use this webcam! Target acquired…AHH! (TDW: Geek)

Bruce Campbell looking like a complete badass in front of a Scottish castle. Don’t really think you need more context than that to appreciate. (Geek Tyrant)

While at Dragon*Con this passed weekend there was a lot of awesome Doctor Who cosplay, no one came close to the adorable levels of this little Whovian. (Fashionably Geek)

This is a most aesthetically pleasing  mash-up, in fact, I love it! But which Star Wars character would be a good fit for an Autobot? (Fashionably Geek)

K’Nex and Nintendo are teaming up for a Toys ‘R’ Us exclusive Super Mario Kart Wii racetracks! OMG! AWESOME!

The main tracks are Bowser’s Castle — with Thwomps, fireballs and Podobo Cogs — and Mario Circuit. Each set comes with a couple of characters and karts, as well as a couple of items (like mushrooms, banana peels and shells). The big sets each have add-ons (sold separately, natch). There’s a fireball obstacle for Bowser’s Castle and the Delfino Oak Tree for the Mario track.

Brilliant marketing. Question is, will it be as easy to fuck over your friends outside the virtual world as it is inside? (TDW: Geek)
