I have yet to see Joe Cornish and Edgar Wright’s sci-fi action film, Attack the Block, but my nerdy friends have been barking in my ear it at how awesome it is. They’re  like “brah, its got over the top action and foul mouthed teens kickin’ alien butt. WATCH IT”. And I will, but not until next month, when it’s released on DVD and BluRay.

Attack the Block is headed to Blu-ray/DVD on October 25th. The Blu-ray will be $35.99 and the DVD is $30.99.

The film is produced by Edgar Wright and stars Nick Frost, Jodie Whittaker, John Boyega, Simon Howard, Franz Drameh, Leeon Jones, and Alex Esmail.

Synopsis:

From the producers of Shaun of the Dead, ATTACK THE BLOCK is a fast, funny, frightening action adventure movie that pits a teen street gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. It turns a London housing project into a sci-fi battleground, the low-income apartment complex into a fortress under siege. And it turns a crazy mix of tough street kids into a team of kick ass heroes. It’s inner city versus outer space and it’s going to explode.

From what I’ve heard and seen, Attack the Block is genre bending. One of the most original Sci-Fi action films of the last 10 years. I can’t wait to watch it.
