Every day the internet produces an astounding amount of goodies and gems. Most hilarious, some amusing, but all worth at least a few seconds of your time. We here at Nerd Bastards try to bring you the best bits of news and nerdery the webz has to offer, with a bit of snark thrown in. But sometimes not everything makes the cut.

Monday through Friday we’ll be bringing you our inbox leftovers, our forgotten bookmarks, the nerdy bits that simply slipped through the cracks. You can submit items to Nerdy Bits by emailing us at nerdybits@nerdbastards.com.

I’m so sorry, but the word is, Mary Kate and Ashley Olson have ruined Star Wars. And Halloween. In a new commercial for their fashion line, Stylemint, the twin parody Star Wars, as well as Batman, and I hear it’s awful. Maybe this sweet lightsaber candlestick will make you feel a little better. It also detaches from it’s stand for dinner table dueling. (TDW: Geek)

And if the candlestick isn’t enough to wash the Olson sick out of your mouth, check out this great Star Wars/Toy Story mash-up. I might even like this better than the Doctor Who one from yesterday. (Fashionably Geek)

Gotham City Imposters, the strange yet interesting Batman shoot-em up game should be available for download from Xbox Arcade, PSN and Microsoft Windows early next year. If you’re still unconvinced this could be an insane yet fun game, give this twisted animated trailer a viewing. (Geek Tyrant)

Ugh! Not only are they trolling you but they’re teaching you grammar! Actually, I’ve got admit, it’s pretty fuckin’ funny. (Nerd Approved)

Mmm…Wookie & Wampa cakes! It’s too good to be true. (Geeks Are Sexy)
